25,000 attacks in an hour on websites

Cyber attacks have reached scary levels of sophistication. Our systems are looking more and more vulnerable. Last year saw the likes of Adidas, Sony and Nintendo's security being compromised.

Imerva has reported that web applications are attacked around 27 times per hour. Web sites are hit by automated attacks on average 25,000 times in just one hour (that's seven attacks a second). In a time where cyber criminals are getting cleverer and creating more sophisticated techniques to hack into your personal and business data, one has to be one step ahead of them.

EC-Council's Certified Ethical Hacker Training version 7 includes an entire module on countermeasures, with detailed explanation of how to implement them in real life. There is also a complete section dedicated to penetration testing - the method of evaluating the security of a system or network by simulating an attack from a malicious source.
