What is MCSE?

A Microsoft Certified Systems Engineer is a professional who is certified that he/she has the competency and knowledge to work with networking concepts and systems.

The certification proves that the professional is competent in designing, implementing, and administering infrastructures, based on Windows Server 2003 and Microsoft Windows 2000 Server.

The MicrosoftMCITP Enterprise & Server Administrator certification is the latest "MCSE 2008", and has replaced both the MCSE and MCSA on Server 2003.

If you have the MCSE 2003, you can upgrade to the Microsoft Certified Technology Specialist (MCTS) and Microsoft Certified IT Professional (MCITP) on Windows Server 2008 certifications.
