ISACA surveyed more than 95,000 professionals and
revealed that more than half (52%) of the surveyed stated that their organisations
do not have enough IT professionals. 44% of the executives teams in US intend
to expand their IT related investment.
This means more job opportunities for IT professionals, but Tim
Weinman, president of The Weinman Group feels that companies are now looking
for more skilled personnel, along with other skills. He says, “In addition to strong educational credentials and
certifications, companies are also seeking individuals with tangible
accomplishments, a history of adding value and a passion for and dedication to
the profession. If you cannot clearly articulate the value you (and your
projects) bring to an organisation, you could be vulnerable over the long haul.”
